Kentucky STUNT Wins Twice in Nashville on Friday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Kentucky STUNT team won two more games on Friday in the Music City Classic at Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville. UK topped McNeese 27-4 before beating Northern Kentucky 22-1 to complete the tournament.
Kentucky (21-2) went ahead early against McNeese and never looked back. In the first quarter, partner stunts, the Cats took four points compared to just one for the Cowgirls. The second quarter, pyramids and tosses, saw UK extend its lead by earning four points to none for McNeese. Kentucky led 8-1 at the half.
In the third quarter, jumps and tumbling, UK earned five points compared to just one for McNeese. UK led 13-2 after three quarters. In the final period, team routine, Kentucky notched 14 points while the Cowgirls got just two.
Against Northern Kentucky, the Cats jumped out to an early lead again, earning four points to none for NKU in the first quarter. UK extended its lead in the second quarter, notching four points while the Norse got one. Kentucky led 8-1 at halftime.
In quarter three, the Cats earned three points to none for NKU, and UK took an 11-1 lead into the final stanza. Kentucky claimed 11 points in the fourth quarter, while NKU was blanked.
Kentucky returns to action in the Coast to Coast Showdown at Historic Memorial Coliseum on Thursday. UK will face Davenport at 6 p.m. and will also have two games on Friday and two more on Saturday.
