Kentucky STUNT Wins Twice on Sunday in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – The Kentucky STUNT team won two games on Sunday, including the program’s ninth perfect game. UK beat Texas A&M-Kingsville 24-0 in the opener, then topped UC Davis 28-6 in the nightcap.

The Cats started off strong, winning all four points in the first quarter, partner stunts, and in the second quarter, pyramids and tosses. Kentucky led 8-0 at the half.

In quarter three, jumps and tumbling, UK again took all four points and took a 12-0 lead into the final period. In the fourth quarter, team routine, Kentucky was able to earn all 12 points while holding the Javelinas to none to close out the perfect game. It was the ninth full perfect game (24-point game) in program history and the 11th perfect game overall.

Against UC Davis, the Cats faced their toughest opposition of the weekend but still came out ahead. UK outscored the Aggies 4-2 in the first quarter before expanding their lead in the second quarter. Kentucky held a 9-3 advantage at halftime.

In the third quarter, Kentucky outscored UC Davis 5-1 to lead 14-4. And in the final quarter, the Cats outscored the Aggies 14-2 to seal the win.

Kentucky returns to action on Friday, facing Vanguard and Cal Poly in Rocklin, California. Game times are 5 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET, respectively.
