LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis (8-2, 0-1 SEC) will play Alabama on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET and Mississippi State on Saturday evening at 4 p.m. ET. This will be the Wildcats second weekend of conference play, after going 0-1 last weekend in the SEC opener in Knoxville.

Although the Wildcats dropped the first conference match, they saw a good fight from junior Julia Zhu, sophomore Asuncion Jadue, and freshman Donna Le Roux. They plan to fight the same again, with two more big tests.

No. 28 Alabama (9-0, 1-0 SEC) is coming off a win over the Bulldogs of Mississippi State on Sunday, 4-1. They are led by singles No. 53 Kristina Paskauskas, and are looking to stay unbeaten on the season.

Mississippi State (9-1, 0-1 SEC), who is No. 37 in this weeks ITA poll, is coming off the loss to Alabama. They have a ranked doubles pairing of No. 13 Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz and Gianna Oboniye.
