Kentucky STUNT Opens Season by Hosting Bluegrass Classic

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky STUNT team will open its 2026 campaign by hosting the Bluegrass Classic at Historic Memorial Coliseum on Sunday and Monday.

The Cats will face Ashland on Sunday at 10:15 a.m., then will battle Alma at 12:30 p.m. On Monday, Kentucky faces two foes from the Mid America West Conference. First, UK will face Mercyhurst at 3:45 p.m. Following that game, Kentucky takes on Northern Kentucky at 5 p.m.

Kentucky finished 29-3 last year and was the national runner-up for the third consecutive season.

STUNT is a head-to-head competition between two teams that focuses on the technical and athletic aspects of cheer. It is one of the fastest-growing female sports in the United States and will have NCAA championship status in 2027.
