Wildcats Set for Razorback Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats are back on the track this weekend with a trip to Fayetteville, Ark. on the horizon for the annual Razorback Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track.

51 total athletes will represent Kentucky this weekend in Fayetteville across 26 total events.

Last time out, the Wildcats totaled 13 event wins at the Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. The Wildcats continued their early season dominance in the men’s and women’s hurdles event, with Emmi Scales and Anthony Waterman earning their third and second event wins of the season, respectively. In the women’s 60m hurdles, Kentucky took each of the top four spots with Camden Bentley, Kori Martin and Rukia Nusra Omulisia following Scales on the leaderboard. Anthony Waterman later won the men’s 60m hurdles with a time of 7.93.

In Indianapolis, Senior Theo Mudzengerere won his third consecutive event to open the new season with a first-place finish and a 16.09m mark in the men’s triple jump final. The Wildcats capped off the meet with a pair of wins in the relay events, winning the women’s 4x400m relay with a time of 3:36.39 and finishing atop the leaderboard in the men’s 4x400m relay with a 3:08.55 time. This weekend in Fayetteville, the Wildcats will be competing against six fellow SEC programs, including host Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, LSU, South Carolina and Texas, along with Florida State, Illinois, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Oregon and Texas Tech.

Day one of the Razorback Invitational will begin with the opening event of the women’s pentathlon, starting with Dahlia Bealey and Julia Gunnell competing in the 60m hurdles at 1 p.m. ET.

This weekend’s meet will be streamed live on SEC Network + and live results will be provided by Flash Results.
