LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky swimming and diving Wildcats return to competition on Friday, Jan. 16. The swimming portion of the meet will be held at 2 p.m. ET in Nashville, Tenn. where the women will take on Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, with the men competing just against Texas A&M. The diving portion will be here in Lexington at the Lancaster Aquatic Center at 12 p.m. ET against Texas A&M.

With Vanderbilt only having a women’s swim program, the Wildcats tri-meet will look a little bit different than typical. However, that is not stopping the Wildcats preparation, coming off a weekend of two men’s wins and one women’s team win.

Last Friday against Notre Dame, Kentucky won the dual-meet, which marked their first victory of the season. The Wildcats had a tough first half of the season schedule, with every opponent previously being ranked in the CSCAA top-25. Texas A&M is currently ranked No. 24 on the men’s side, with their women receiving votes. Vanderbilt was not featured in the CSCAA top-25 in December.

The Wildcat men saw strong performances from freshman Falemana Tuufui, who set a new 50 free record this past weekend. Junior Carson Hick, and seniors Levi Sandidge and Ryan Merani have also continued to push the newcomers both in and out of the pool to their full potential. The women were led by sophomore Katy Jost, senior Fernanda De Goeij, and divers Avery Giese and Kristy Pfaff.

Trending towards the back half off the swim season and just a month away from the 2026 SEC Swimming and Diving Championship, the entire Kentucky squad focuses in on improving times each meet. Dive action in Lexington will begin at 12 p.m. ET once again, while the swimming portion in Nashville will begin at 2 p.m. ET. Results can be found on the MeetMobile App, while fans can watch swimming on SEC Network+.
