15 Wildcats Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams
NEW ORLEANS, La. – 15 Wildcats, including eight from the women’s team and seven from the men’s, were named to the 2025 USTFCCCA All-Academic team, per the release from the association’s office Monday afternoon.
USTFCCCA All-Academic honors are awarded to student athletes for their performances both on and off the track. Athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and finished inside the top 96 for the indoor season or the top 48 for the outdoor season in their respective event were given all-academic honors.
The representatives from the women’s squad include hurdlers Camden Bentley and Emmi Scales, triple jumper Sophie Galloway, sprinters Alysia Johnson and Oneika McAnnuff, Julia Gunnell (multis), distance runner Janet Jepkemboi Amimo and thrower Kate Powers.
Representing Kentucky on the men’s side are distance runners Ed Bird, Sami Hattab, Alex Justus and Jackson Watts, thrower Grayson Brashear and pole vaulters Brayden Jackson and Shane Racey.
In addition to the individual honors, both the men’s and women’s squads were awarded team all-academic honors for completing with 2024-25 academic year with a 3.274 combined team GPA.
