Three Event Wins, Five Qualifiers Fall on Friday at Drake Relays
DES MOINES, Iowa – In their penultimate meet of the 2025 regular season, the Kentucky Wildcats track and field team began their first day of competition at the Drake Relays today in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Wildcats kicked off the day with a dominant performance in the women’s 100m hurdles prelim event with all four runners placing inside the top six and advancing to tomorrow’s final. Alexis Glasco, Kori Martin, Emmi Scales and Camden Bentley featured as the four qualifiers, each finishing with sub-14 marks.
The women’s 4x100m relay team, consisting of Victoria Perrow, Morgan Davis, Stacey Onyepunuka and A’Laji Bradley, continued the string of qualifiers at the top of the day for Kentucky, finishing second in their prelim event, posting a 44.65 mark and finishing just .14 seconds behind first-place Iowa.
In the lone field event for UK this weekend, sophomore Devin Sealey claimed the second win of the day for the Wildcats, as well as the second win of his collegiate career, by posting a career-best mark of 2.12m/6-11.5 in the men’s high jump final.
The women’s 4x800m and 4x200m relay teams closed out the opening day in Des Moines, with the 4x800m team placing fourth with an 8:42.62 time and the 4x200m finishing first with the NCAA’s second-best time of 1:34.45.
The Drake Relays will conclude tomorrow with the second day of competition for the Cats, starting with the women’s 100m hurdles final at 2:19 p.m. EST and finishing with the women’s 4x400m relay final at 5:50 p.m. EST.
