ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The No. 38 Kentucky women’s tennis team dominated on the road Sunday, earning back-to-back shutout wins over Missouri and St. Louis to close out the regular season.

The Wildcats opened the day with a 4-0 sweep of Missouri in SEC play. Kentucky secured the doubles point with commanding wins on courts one and three. No. 57 Ellie Eades and Lizzy Stevens rolled past Mary Brumfield and Korina Roso, 6-1, while Ellie Myers and Julia Zhu handled Lailaa Bashir and Zoe Lazar, 6-2.

In singles, No. 40 Zoe Hammond led the way with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Brumfield at the top spot. Stevens followed with a 6-2, 6-3 victory on court three, and Jadue clinched the match for Kentucky at No. 5 with a 6-3, 6-3 decision.

Later in the day in St. Louis, the Wildcats continued their strong form with a 5-0 win over the Billikens. Stevens and Tess Bucher earned a 6-3 win in doubles, while Hammond and Jadue rolled to a 6-1 result to clinch the point.

Kentucky didn’t drop a set in singles play. Hammond cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 on court one, Zhu followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win on two, and Stevens claimed a 6-2, 6-1 victory on three. Myers capped off the match with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 performance in the six spot. Both Bucher and Jadue’s matches were unfinished, though each was leading in the second set and had won the first.

With a wrap on the regular season, the Wildcats now look to the SEC Championship Tournament starting on Wednesday. Kentucky will open play for the week, as announced Sunday, as the No. 11 seed taking on No. 14 Arkansas at 10 a.m. ET.
