BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition, the SEC once again highlighted a Community Service Team for women’s tennis for the 2024-25 season. This year, the Kentucky women’s tennis team is represented by fifth-year Lizzy Stevens.
Since the start of the 2024/25 school year, Lizzy Stevens has served the Lexington community for a total of 40 hours of contribution for a total of nearly 230 throughout her time as a Wildcat. She has gone above and beyond to ensure that the needs of others are met, even if it means sacrificing her minimal free time. This goes together with her major, education, where she has had the opportunity to serve the youth in schools across Lexington. Additionally, she has helped at tennis camps, mentored children with Big Brother-Sister, and volunteers actively with ACEing Autism, helping kids on the spectrum learn how to play tennis.
Stevens and the rest of the team head into their last weekend of the regular season on Friday and will begin post-season play in Auburn next week for the SEC Championship Tournament. Fans are encouraged to follow along on social media platforms and ukathletics.com for more updates.
