Kentucky STUNT Hosts Mid America West Conference Tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky STUNT team will host the Mid America West Conference Tournament, beginning on Friday, inside Historic Memorial Coliseum. Seven teams will compete in the double-elimination event, which will conclude on Saturday.

Kentucky (24-1) earned the top seed for the tournament and will receive a first-round bye. The Cats will play their first game on Friday at 3 p.m. ET. UK will face the winner of the game between the fourth seed, Mercyhurst, and the fifth seed, Missouri State, which takes place at noon ET on Friday.

Action continues Friday afternoon and evening and picks up again on Saturday morning. The championship game is set for 3:30 ET on Saturday. An “if necessary” game would follow if the undefeated team falls in the 3:30 contest.

STUNT is a head-to-head competition between two teams that focuses on the technical and athletic aspects of cheer. It is one of the fastest-growing female sports in the United States.
