Kentucky STUNT Sweeps Doubleheader on Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Kentucky STUNT team swept a pair of games on Saturday at Mercyhurst. UK topped Hiram College 11-0 in an eight-round game, then beat homestanding Mercyhurst XX-X in the nightcap. In the process, the 2025 Cats broke the school record for wins in a season, which was 19 victories in 2024.

In game one, the Cats faced Hiram College in an eight-round contest, or essentially half of a regular game. UK took both points in the first quarter, partner stunts. Kentucky also won both points in the second quarter, pyramids and tosses.

In the third quarter, jumps and tumbling, Kentucky again took both points to lead 6-0. In the final quarter, team routine, UK claimed five of six possible points to seal the victory.

Kentucky (21-1) got off to a quick start in game two against Mercyhurst. The Cats took all four points in both the first and second quarters and held a commanding 8-0 lead at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Cats continued to roll, winning all four points, taking a 12-0 lead in the process. In the final stanza, UK claimed 10 points to one for Mercyhurst to provide the final margin.

Kentucky returns to action on Friday in the Trevecca Nazarene Tournament in Nashville. The Cats face Maryville at 4 p.m. ET. Then at 8:40 p.m. ET, UK will battle Hope International.
