LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky rifle team was well represented on the 2025 Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association All-America teams with five members earning honors, including junior Sofia Ceccarello and sophomore Braden Peiser earning first-team honors in all three categories.

Ceccarello and Peiser each were tabbed first-team All-America in aggregate, smallbore and air rifle. Freshman Sam Adkins earned smallbore and air rifle honorable mention honors, while fellow freshman Liz Probst earned air rifle honorable mention. Junior Martin Voss was tabbed honorable mention in smallbore.

The native of Ravenna, Italy, has scored a 590 or higher in smallbore four times this season, while she recorded a NCAA record score in air rifle at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado with a 600-59x. In that match she also scored a 1192 aggregate, which was a season high and just one off her career-high mark of 1193. Last week, she earned three All-Great America Rifle Conference honors.

Peiser leads Kentucky in aggregate average with a 1188.385, while he is earning a smallbore average of 591.308 and air rifle average of 597.077. Peiser tied Ceccarello’s NCAA-record air rifle score with a 600-59x on his own in February in Alaska. Last weekend at the GARC Championships, he scored his second 600 score of the season in air rifle, finishing fifth in the individual air rifle final. He has scored a 590 or higher in smallbore eight times and tied his career-best of 597 earlier this season. Last week, Peiser claimed three All-GARC honors, including two first-team honors.

Voss, who last week earned honorable mention All-GARC honors in all three categories, is having a great year for UK. The native of Sola, Rogaland, Norway, is averaging a 585.154 in smallbore, 591.615 in air rifle and 1176.769 aggregate. Recently in the NCAA Qualifier, he tied his smallbore career high with a 589, while he has come close to topping his career-high air rifle several times this season. Voss made the GARC Championships individual smallbore final last weekend, finishing sixth.

Adkins has had a great rookie season for Kentucky averaging a 584.643 in smallbore, 594.571 in air rifle and aggregate of 1179.214. His career high in smallbore was a 590 on Jan. 20 at Murray State, while his 598 air rifle career high came early this season at home. His aggregate career high of 1186 was at Air Force in November. Adkins earned three All-GARC honors last week.

Probst is averaging 583.429 in smallbore and 594.714 in air rifle with a 1178.143 aggregate average this season. She is coming off an incredible performance at the GARC Championships, where she led Kentucky in smallbore and finished second in the GARC Championships smallbore individual final, earning silver. She also performed well in air rifle at GARCs, helping UK finish second overall as a team. Probst career-high air rifle is a 599 scored in the first match or the season, while she has a 589 smallbore season-best.

Last week, Kentucky qualified for its 31 NCAA Rifle National Championships, which are being hosted by the Wildcats inside the newly reimagined Historic Memorial Coliseum on March 14-15. It was last Saturday’s impressive NCA Qualifying score of 4740 that help cement UK’s place in the championships.

The two-day event will see the best air rifle and smallbore competitors in the nation compete on the Historic Memorial Coliseum floor.
