
Kentucky STUNT Sweeps Doubleheader at Muskingum
NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Kentucky STUNT took its White Team to Ohio on Sunday, and the Cats earned two victories over Muskingum. UK won the first game 21-4, then followed that up with a 21-1 victory in game two. UK is now 11-0 on the season, marking both the best start in school history and the program’s longest winning streak.
In the first game, Kentucky won the first point, but Muskingum answered by scoring the next two. UK took the final point of the period and the game was tied 2-2 after partner stunts. In the second quarter, the Cats took control of the game by winning all four points in pyramids and tosses. UK led 6-2 at halftime.
Kentucky continued to extend the lead in the third quarter, jumps and tumbling. The Cats won all four points in the stanza and led 10-2 with one quarter remaining. Kentucky put the game away by outscoring Muskingum 11-2 in the final period.
In game two, the teams tied the first routine before Kentucky took control. The Cats won the final three points of the period and led 4-1 after one quarter. UK would take three points in the second period, with Muskingum being held scoreless. Kentucky led 7-1 at the half.
The Cats took all four points in the jumps and tumbling third quarter, then won 10 points in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin of victory.
Kentucky returns to action on Friday, participating in the Central Arkansas Tournament. UK will face Central Arkansas at 2 p.m., followed by a contest against Missouri State at 4 p.m.
