Kentucky STUNT Blitzes Missouri Valley on Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky STUNT team finished off a perfect weekend by beating Missouri Valley 23-0 on Saturday in the Midwest Classic at Historic Memorial Coliseum. It was the sixth shutout this season for the Cats, who came up one point short of a second perfect game in as many days.

Kentucky is now 9-0 on the season, marking both the best start in program history and the longest win streak in UK’s four-year existence.

In the first quarter, partner stunts, Kentucky established an early lead by winning all four of the available points. In the second quarter, pyramids and tosses, the Cats again won all four points and UK took an 8-0 lead into the half.

The third quarter, jumps and tumbling, saw more of the same with Kentucky taking all four points in the period to lead 12-0.

In the final stanza, team routine, UK took 11 of the possible 12 points to close out the win.

Kentucky returns to action on Sunday, visiting Muskingum for a doubleheader. Game times are 2:15 and 3:15 p.m.
