Women’s Tennis Announces 2025 Spring Match Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis has announced its 2025 spring match slate which will feature 13 home matches at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center and 10 matches on the road.
The 2024-25 squad is comprised of two newcomers, Tess Bucher and Asuncion Jadue, and six returners from last season’s Wildcat team, Zoe Hammond, Ellie Eades, Ellie Myers, Lizzy Stevens, Lidia Gonzalez and Julia Zhu. The Cats will be led for the second season by head coach Shelley Jaudon and assistant coaches Stephan Ward and Diego Garavito.
Kentucky will kick off the 2025 spring with a doubleheader on Jan. 18 against Eastern Kentucky at 10 a.m. EST and Murray State at 3 p.m. at The Boone. UK will then face the first road trip of the season traveling to Iowa City, Iowa for a contest against Iowa (Jan. 24).
The Wildcats will then return home to Lexington to host Purdue (Jan. 26) and a doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 1). Back on the road, the Cats will head to Kansas where they will take on Wichita State (Feb. 7) and Kansas State (Feb. 9).
Kentucky will return to The Boone to begin Southeastern Conference play against Tennessee for a 1 p.m. afternoon contest on Feb. 22. Closing out the month of February, the Cats will travel to Baton Rouge, La. to take on LSU (Feb. 28) followed by a road trip to Ole Miss (March 2). After playing Georgia at home on March 7, UK will embark on a three-match road trip to South Carolina (March 8), Oklahoma (March 14) and Arkansas (March 16).
Following the three away contests, Kentucky will return to The Boone for six matches to close the 2025 homestand. Beginning with Mississippi State on March 21, the Cats will then host Alabama (March 23), Texas A&M (March 28), Texas (March 30), Auburn (April 4) and Florida (April 6).
The Wildcats will wrap up the regular season schedule at Vanderbilt on April 11 and Missouri on April 13 before setting their sights on the SEC Championship hosted in Auburn, Ala. April 16-20.
