Kentucky Baseball to Face Wright State in Fall Exhibition

Kentucky’s first time back on the diamond against outside competition since its first College World Series appearance will come this Sunday in the first of two NCAA-sanctioned fall exhibition games this month when it faces Wright State at Prasco Park.

The ballpark, situated in Mason, Ohio on the northern edges of Cincinnati, also hosted the Wildcats last fall versus Xavier. First pitch is at noon ET. Broadcast coverage of the event is currently unscheduled.

Kentucky baseball will play a pair of exhibition games this fall as it prepares to battle its way its way back to Omaha. NCAA rules allow for schools to play two games against outside competition during the fall. UK hosts Morehead State on Sunday, October 27 at Kentucky Proud Park. That game will begin at 12:30 p.m. and additional details will be finalized and released at a later date.

The Cats are entering their ninth season under head coach Nick Mingione and have won 262 games during his tenure, including last season’s school-record 46-win campaign that featured a SEC regular season championship and Mingione’s second National Coach of the Year honor in seven full seasons at the helm.
