Alex Goff Placed on PING All-Southeast Region Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Alex Goff, who posted Kentucky’s best single-season scoring average since at least 1993-94 this past season, was named to the PING All-Southeast Region Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Saturday.

It marks Goff’s second straight all-region selection, the first UK men’s golf athlete to collect PING All-Region honors in consecutive seasons since Stephen Powers did so in 2013 and 2014.

Goff adds this accolade to a growing list of recognitions from the 2023-24 season. He was named to the All-Southeastern Conference Second Team, selected as the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and placed on the watch list for both the Haskins and Ben Hogan awards.

The UK legend finished the year with a 70.55 scoring average, 23 rounds of par-or-better and nine top-15 finishes in 11 starts. He earned an invitation to an NCAA regional as an individual for the fourth-consecutive year, placing T29 at the Baton Rouge Regional hosted by LSU. Goff posted a perfect counting score percentage in 2023-24, with all 28 of his rounds in team events this year serving as counting scores for the Wildcats.

The Kings Mountain, North Carolina native is one of 26 selections for the All-Southeast Region Team and one of 151 student-athletes named all-region from 83 schools across the country.
