No. 4 Kentucky Travels to Face Florida
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Leading the Southeastern Conference by one game with six to play, No. 4 Kentucky travels to Florida for its final road series, which opens Friday at Condron Family Ballpark. First pitch in the opener has been moved up to 1 p.m. ET due to the threat of inclement weather.
Friday will be streamed on the SECN+ with both Saturday and Sunday on the SEC Network at noon each day.
Kentucky (35-10, 18-6) is coming off a series victory over No. 2 Arkansas last week while Florida (24-23, 10-14) dropped its rubber match at home against Tennessee. The Wildcats showed their grit after losing the opener, winning the final two games of the series.
UK is in the enviable position of controlling its own destiny as it attempts to win its second regular season league championship in its history. The final legs of its quest begins in Gainesville, close to the hometowns of both Devin Burkes and Ryan Waldschmidt.
The Cats will once again deploy a rotation of Trey Pooser, Dominic Niman and Mason Moore on the mound.
