Kentucky STUNT Tops Maryville, Completes Perfect Weekend
MARTIN, Tenn. – The Kentucky STUNT team completed a perfect weekend by beating Maryville 24-3 on Sunday afternoon inside the Elam Center.
It was actually a two-win Sunday for the Cats, who got a win via a forfeit over Southern Arkansas earlier in the day.
Kentucky (9-4) started off the first quarter, partner stunts, by winning points on all four routines in the period, while Maryville was shut out.
In the second quarter, pyramids and tosses. Kentucky again claimed the maximum of four points, while holding Maryville scoreless again. The Cats led 8-0 at halftime.
The third quarter, jumps and tumbling, Kentucky earned the first point of the period and the teams tied on the second routine. UK would win the final two points and led 12-1 after three periods.
Kentucky continued the onslaught in the fourth quarter, team routine. UK earned the maximum with 12 points over the course of four routines, while Maryville was able to earn two points.
UK returns to action on Thursday as they begin play in the Music City Classic in Nashville. UK faces Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday, Central Arkansas on Friday and defending national champion California Baptist on Saturday.
