Kentucky Travels to Buckeye State for Tuesday Matchup

LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 24 Kentucky men’s soccer (3-3-0, 0-1-0 Sun Belt) will travel to Columbus, Ohio to take on Ohio State (1-3-2, 0-1-0 B1G) for a 7 p.m. EST contest on Tuesday.

The Wildcats and Buckeyes last faced off in 2019 in Lexington which resulted in a 2-1 victory for UK. The last time Kentucky played at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium was in 2018 where the Cats won 3-0.

The two programs first faced off in October 1991 which resulted in a 4-3 double-overtime victory for OSU. Since then, the two programs have developed a 6-5-4 UK all-time series record.

The Wildcats come into Friday’s contest after a tough loss to South Carolina at home last Friday. UK fell 0-1 against the Gamecocks to open conference play.

Ohio State enters the match with its most recent defeat to conference opponent Penn State, 0-3.
