Men’s Soccer Takes on In-State Rival Tuesday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 2 Kentucky men’s soccer (2-1-0) will take on in-state rival No. 13 Louisville (3-0-0) on Tuesday for an 8 p.m. EST contest at the Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.

The Wildcats and Cardinals first faced off in September 1979 which resulted in a 4-0 UK victory. Since then, the two programs have developed a 15-14-4 all-time series record.

Kentucky and Louisville last faced off in 2022 in Lexington resulting in a 3-2 victory for the Cats. On the road at Louisville, UK holds an 11-4-3 record with a current three-game win streak against the Cardinals.

The Wildcats come into Tuesday’s contest after experiencing its first loss since 2021. UK fell to Wisconsin 0-1 on the road. Louisville has produced three wins thus far in 2023 with its most recent on Friday against UNC Greensboro, 2-0.
