RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Kentucky STUNT team fell to two-time defending national champion California Baptist on Saturday in the STUNT Division I National Championship.
The Cats and the Lancers faced a best two-of-three with the winner taking home the championship. In game one, CBU jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back. The Lancers blanked the Cats 24-0 to take a one game to none lead.
In game two, Kentucky put up a fight but was not able to overcome a dominant CBU team. The Lancers topped the Cats 24-3 to close out the series and win the national championship.
Kentucky finished second in the country in Division I in just its second season as a varsity program.
