Kentucky STUNT Falls to Arizona State on Saturday

RIVERSIDE, California – The Kentucky STUNT team dropped its final game in the California Baptist Tournament on Saturday, falling to Arizona State 15-11.

Arizona State came out red hot, winning all four of the points in the first quarter to take a big early lead. The Sun Devils would score four points in the second period as well, and Arizona State took an 8-1 lead into the half.

Kentucky rallied back in the third quarter. After ASU won the first point, Kentucky won the next two and the teams tied the final point of the period. ASU would take a 10-4 lead into the final stanza.

In the final period, Kentucky would continue to draw closer but the Cats ran out of time. UK outscored Arizona State 7-5 in the final stanza to provide the final margin of victory.

This was the second meeting between these two teams this season. The Sun Devils beat the Cats 19-10 in UK’s season opener in February.

Kentucky’s next game will be in the STUNT national championship tournament on April 15 at California Baptist. The time of the game has not yet been determined.
