Gutmann Named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior Nick Gutmann was named Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Gutmann leads the 2022 squad with 11 assists placing him in a second-place tie for Total Assists and third in Assists Per Game (.73) nationally.

“Really happy for Nick,” Head Coach Johan Cedergren said. “He’s a great team player and offensive threat who has been a big part of our offensive efforts this season.”

The Hamburg, Germany native has been consistent throughout the fall tallying five goals, 11 assists, 35 shots with 12 on goal. Gutmann assisted both goals last Friday against Old Dominion in Lexington.
