CINCINNATI – The Kentucky men’s golf team sits in a tie for seventh at 6-over-par with play unfinished in the second round at the Bearcat Invitational Monday at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati. With two groups remaining to play in the second round, UNC-Greensboro leads the event at 8-under-par, followed by Illinois State and host Cincinnati at 6-under. Individually, graduate Dhaivat Pandya leads the Wildcats in a tie for 19th at even-par.
Second-round play will be completed starting at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday followed by a 10 a.m. final-round shotgun start.
Kentucky senior Jackson LaLonde started the day with five birdies and an eagle en route to a career-low 3-under-par 68 in the opening round while graduate Garrett Wood posted an even-par 71, his third round of par or better in his first four rounds of 2022-23.

In the second round, Pandya totaled four birdies on his way to a 2-under 69, his best round of the season. Senior Alex Goff notched an even-par 71 while freshman Andrew Clark, playing as an individual, matched him in the afternoon session.
Through almost two rounds, Kentucky is tied for third in par-5 scoring at 11-under while sitting fourth with 33 birdies. Junior Campbell Kremer sits tied for fifth in par-5 scoring at 5-under while Pandya is tied for fourth with 26 pars.
