Wildcats Look to Keep Strong Momentum Friday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 6 Kentucky men’s soccer team will host Belmont at The Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET for Family Night.

The Wildcats are currently 2-0-0 following a season-opening win over the University of Illinois Chicago and Monday victory over Seattle.

The 1-0 triumph over the Redhawks added another clean sheet to the season tally as Isaac Walker recorded no saves in the net thanks to the strong efforts of defenders Lucca Rodrigues and Luis Grassow.

With 24 total shots recorded throughout 90 minutes of regulation, seven were on goal. One of those shots found its way into the net by Danny Evans who scored early in the 22nd minute with an assist by Eythor Bjorgolfsson. The volley resulted in the lone goal of the match which added another win to the season.

Kentucky looks to continue its early win streak on Friday as it hosts the Bruins before hosting in-state rival Louisville on Tuesday. Friday night fans can enjoy numerous promotions and inflatables for Family Night.
