Men's Basketball Gameday Information
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Regardless of vaccination status, all guests, staff and vendors will be required to wear a mask while visiting Rupp Arena. Fans will not be required to show proof of vaccination to enter Rupp Arena.
Face coverings, over the nose and mouth, are required for all fans as they enter, exit and move around Rupp Arena. Children 2 and younger are not required to wear a mask.
A significant number of sanitizing opportunities have been added inside Rupp Arena.
Rupp Arena staff will take additional measures to clean and sanitize the arena, including high touch-point areas, which will be cleaned more frequently.
UK Athletics has fully transitioned to mobile ticketing for all events. Fans are strongly encouraged to download the UK Athletics app and to download their tickets prior to arriving at Rupp Arena.

University of Kentucky Athletics seeks to provide the safest environment possible for all spectators, staff and participants. A risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place, including sporting events hosted by the University of Kentucky at Rupp Arena. Fans with pre-existing health conditions or who are otherwise at risk should consider not attending sporting events during this unprecedented time.
REQUIREMENTS FOR FANS
- Masks are required at all times other than while eating or drinking, while seated
- Clear bags are required
- Masks or face coverings need to cover mouth and nose, and they should:
- Fit snugly but comfortably
- Be secured with ties or ear loops
- Be made of multiple layers of fabric or medical grade material, such as KN95 or surgical masks
- Allow for breathing without restriction
- If spectators are unable to wear masks, they are encouraged not to attend games in person for the sake of their health and the health of others
- Mask enforcement will be treated similarly to other policies enforced at Rupp Arena, including no smoking/tobacco products, alcohol beverage use, artificial noisemakers, etc.
- Ushers or event staff will approach those not in compliance with policies and request they comply
- If they are faced with push back, they will involve University of Kentucky Police or the police agency assigned to that section/area
- If needed, those not in compliance will be removed from the premise
- The above policy is in line with language on the back of UK Athletics event tickets: Tickets are a revocable license. Management may revoke the license and eject or refuse entry to the holder for violation of venue rules, illegal activity or misconduct. Terms and conditions governing use of this ticket are posted on the website of the SEC (SECSports.com). By using a game ticket, user agrees to be bound by such terms and conditions. UK Athletics is committed to providing a safe and fan-friendly environment.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FANS
- No bags
- Medical bags only permitted through guest services gate
- Arrive early – pay attention to your suggested gate
- Limit time spent on the concourse – no loitering or congregating
- Utilize hand sanitizer and wash hands as frequently as possible
- Plan to use credit cards, no cash
- A game ticket, or game credential, is encouraged to be on the premise of Rupp Arena on men’s basketball game days
- If you feel bad, stay home. Enjoy the game on TV!
PARKING
With a valid state-issued disabled hang tag fans can park in the non-reserved ADA lot located at Gate 1 of Rupp Arena. This lot will operate on a first come, first served bases at a cost of $20/vehicle.
Those without parking permits can take advantage of more than 10,000 convenient parking located within a 10-minute walk of Rupp Arena. Visit the Rupp Arena Parking page to learn about additional parking options.
Game-day parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the Central Bank Center in their West High Street Lots. A parking fee will be in effect for most all Rupp Arena events.

Ride share vehicles are instructed to drop-off and pick-up the convention center loading dock area, which can be reached via High Street or Manchester Street. Pre-game ride share vehicles should approach the loading dock via High Street. Post-game ride share vehicles should approach via Manchester street.
GAME DAY CHANGES
UK Athletics is continuing its work to create the best possible experiences for Kentucky basketball fans at Rupp Arena.
- Welcome back to Rupp Arena, Big Blue Nation. We’re so excited to embrace the best fans in college sports returning to create such an exciting and unique atmosphere.
- UK Athletics plans to follow all campus COVID-19 policies. Health and safety guidelines for the University of Kentucky can be found here. These reflect current recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, direction from state government, guidance from health department officials and the counsel of our own START team of health scientists and clinicians
- Parking lots will open three hours before tipoff
- Ticket holders will be encouraged to arrive when lots open and enter the arena to avoid crowds
- Mobile Ticketing & Parking
- UK Athletics has fully transitioned to mobile ticketing at each of our venues, as announced in the fall of 2020. All tickets will be mobile and no physical season ticket books will be printed. Season ticket holders and individual game buyers will use the UK Athletics App to access and manage their tickets. Season ticket holders may also manage their tickets by visiting UKathletics.com/MyUKAccount from their mobile device’s web browser. Mobile ticketing allows you to text, email and add your tickets directly to your smartphone. Using your phone as your ticket is easy, safe and convenient!

UK Athletics also reminds fans of the following important information for game day this season:
- Email questions. Fans with questions or feedback about basketball game day can contact UK Athletics by emailing BBNfirst@uky.edu.
- Clear bag policy. As a reminder, the SEC’s clear bag policy remains in place at Rupp Arena as an additional safety measure and to facilitate entry. Each fan will be permitted to carry one large clear bag – either a one-gallon Ziploc-style bag or a 12″ x 6″ x 12″ clear bag – plus a small clutch that does not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″. The small clutch allows privacy for small personal items and is also easily searched. The clear bag policy improves public safety by making bags easily searched and significantly reducing faulty bag searches.
MOBILE TICKETING
- UK Athletics has fully transitioned to mobile ticketing at each of our venues, as announced in the fall of 2020. All tickets will be mobile and no physical season ticket books will be printed. Season ticket holders and individual game buyers will use the UK Athletics App to access and manage their tickets. - Parking permits for those with club access will also be issued via mobile delivery, and ticket holders with parking will access and display their parking permits on their smartphone for entry into their respective lot/garage. Parking permits will be scanned at lot entry, so be sure to have your mobile permit ready prior to leaving home
- We strongly encourage all fans to view your tickets and parking permits and save them in your phone’s digital wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Pay) in advance of arriving at Rupp Arena

BOX OFFICE OPERATIONS
- The main box office has moved for this season, and a temporary structure will be located inside the High Street entrance, after patrons pass through security screening. The temporary box office opens 90 minutes prior to tipoff and closes at halftime. This serves as the primary location for ticket resolution, ticket sales and will call
- Fans may visit the box office at the arena if they require assistance with accessing their mobile tickets once they arrive
- Fans may contact the UK Ticket Office for assistance in advance of game day by calling (800) 928-2287. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
RESALE & AUTHORIZED PURCHASE
UK Athletics cautions against purchasing tickets through unauthorized sellers. Only tickets purchased directly through the following outlets are guaranteed to be valid:

- FEVO
- Visiting Team Ticket Office
Print-at-home paper tickets (PDFs) are not accepted at any UK Athletics venue, to further combat fraud and counterfeiting commonly associated with these types of tickets. To learn more about resale and ticket security, please visit UKathletics.com/TicketSecurity.
ENTERING RUPP ARENA
- Doors will open 90 minutes prior to tip-off
- Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early
- All bags must adhere to the UK Athletics Clear Bag policy. All bags and items will be searched. To avoid additional touch points, fans are strongly encouraged to not bring unnecessary bags to Rupp Arena
- Security posture at all Rupp Arena entrances will remain the same as in the past with the security check taking place prior to tickets being scanned
- Game day: Spectators will self-screen prior to entry based on an updated list of symptoms from the CDC.
- Staff at arena entrances will ask a few simple questions similar to “Did you pass the daily screening” or “Are you feeling IK today?”. Additionally, staff at arena entrances will ask for confirmation that the spectator’s mask meets all mask requirements
- If “No” is answered to any of the above questions, entry will be denied
- Game day: Spectators will self-screen prior to entry based on an updated list of symptoms from the CDC.
