LEXINGTON, Ky. – Luke Brown, one of the top young jumps talents in the world out of Kingston, Jamaica, has signed to join the Kentucky men’s track and field team.
Brown is an accomplished triple jumper and long jumper who has recently produced high finishes at some of the region’s top prep competitions.
The incoming Wildcat, who attends Calabar High School in Kingston, has had a strong performance this spring after the 2020 season was cancelled because of Covid-19. In his most recent performance, he won the ISSA/Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Championships (ages 17-19) with a wind-aided triple jump of 53’6″/16.31m.
