UK Gymnastics to Compete in Session I of SEC Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – After tying for a third-place finish in the Southeastern Conference standings determined by win-loss record, the Kentucky Wildcats earned a No. 5 seed at the 2021 SEC Gymnastics Championships.
 
Kentucky will compete in Session I of the first conference championship meet in two years on Saturday, March 20, at 3:30 p.m. ET at Von Braun Center Propst Arena in Hunstville, Alabama, based off a tie for the nation’s 12th-best National Qualifying Score at 196.969.
 
The Cats will go head-to-head with the Nos. 6-8 seeds in No. 15 Auburn (196.831), No. 16 Georgia (196.781) and No. 21 Missouri (196.444).
 
No. 1 Florida (197.944), No. 3 LSU (197.700), No. 8 Alabama (197.319) and No. 9 Arkansas (197.225) will round out competition in Session II at 7 p.m. At the end of the night, the performances of all eight teams will be compared to determine the league’s team and individual champions.
 
Both sessions will air live on SEC Network.
 
Kentucky earned head-to-head wins over Auburn, Missouri, Arkansas and LSU in the regular season.
