No. 17 Kentucky Faces No. 16 Georgia in SEC Tournament Quarterfinals Friday

GREENVILLE, S.C. – After earning a 73-64 win over Florida on Thursday in the second round of the 2021 Southeastern Conference Tournament, the No. 11 University of Kentucky women’s basketball team with play fourth-seeded and No. 16 ranked Georgia on Friday at approx. 1 p.m. ET in the quarterfinals.
 
The quarterfinal game will be televised on SEC Network with Eric Frede and Tamika Catchings on the call. The action can be seen through WatchESPN on computers, smartphones or tablets. Darren Headrick will have the call on the UK Sports Network on 630AM WLAP in Lexington. Live stats and free live audio will be available online at UKathletics.com.
 
Kentucky earned a 73-64 win over Florida in the second round Thursday. The Wildcats were led by back-to-back SEC Player of the Year Rhyne Howard, who scored 27 points with six rebounds, four steals and four assists. Howard scored nine points in the fourth quarter powering the Wildcats to outscore the Gators 27-15 in the final 10 minutes and earn the win. Senior forward KeKe McKinney scored 10 points with eight rebounds, while freshman guard Treasure Hunt came off the bench and scored nine points with seven rebounds, hitting a 3.
