Kentucky to Wrap Up Non-Conference Slate Against Bowling Green
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats (7-1-1) will wrap up their 2020-21 non-conference slate against the Bowling Green Falcons (2-1) on Tuesday at noon ET, broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dave “Buzz” Baker on the call.
Originally scheduled for Feb. 13, the match was moved to Tuesday due to inclement February weather.
Kentucky’s non-league bill began with six matches last fall, ending with a five-game winning streak and a No. 3 peak ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Since play resumed this spring, the Wildcats have competed in three consecutive overtime matches.
Most recently, Kentucky tied Akron 1-1 in double overtime at home last Thursday. Bowling Green enters Tuesday fresh off a 1-0 loss at Conference USA foe Marshall last Saturday.
The teams’ last meeting was a 2-0 win for the Wildcats in Lexington in fall 2019, wherein Daniel Evans netted the game winner early in the second half.
Kentucky goalkeeper Ryan Troutman, who has an unblemished 5-0-1 record between the pipes, began his collegiate career at Bowling Green in 2018.
