Kentucky Returns to Action at Duke

LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a 10-day hiatus from competition, the Kentucky Wildcats (6-1) are set to resume the spring 2021 season on the road against the Duke Blue Devils (2-6-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra.

Originally scheduled to take place last fall, Friday’s contest marks a rematch of Kentucky’s 4-2 win over Duke at home on Sept. 21. Fall 2020 departures Aimé Mabika and Kalil ElMedkhar scored the first two goals in the Kentucky win, while current Wildcats Bailey Rouse and Daniel Evans put the match away in the second half.

Kentucky opened its spring 2021 slate at home against Xavier on Feb. 9, picking up a 2-1 win in overtime. Brock Lindow scored the match’s opening goal off an assist from Evans, and 2020-21 leading scorer Eythor Bjorgolfsson notched his sixth career game winner with a penalty kick in the extra period.

Duke enters Friday coming off a scoreless draw against Conference USA foe Charlotte at home to open the spring.
