With that time, she earned a bronze medal as one of the youngest swimmers in the event. The then-freshman was also invited to compete in the 100 and 200 backstroke at the 2020 NCAA Championships before it was canceled, however the Florida native was awarded a pair of All-America honors in those events for her qualification.

Then, in 2019 November, Davey broke the school record in the 100m breaststroke (LCM) at the 2019 Ohio State Fall Invitational, earning a time of 1:09.23. Davey was invited to compete at the 2020 NCAA Championships in the 200 breaststroke and the 400 IM before it was canceled, however she was also awarded a pair of All-America honors in those events for her qualification.
Both Brooks and Davey were named to the 2020 Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team, while Brooks was named SEC Freshman of the Week three times last season.
