- Keion Brooks Jr. and Nate Sestina were UK’s first substitutes at the 15:54 mark.
- UK kept Ole Miss scoreless the first five minutes of the game while building a 4-0 lead.
- Defense ruled the early going as UK led 13-11 at the under-8:00 timeout.
- Ole Miss took its first lead, 17-16, at the 5:41 mark.
- The Rebels stretched the lead to five points on two occasions before taking a 27-25 lead into halftime. It is UK’s lowest-scoring half of the season.
- UK is now 4-3 this season when trailing at halftime, 4-0 in SEC games. The comebacks have been at Georgia, Vanderbilt (twice) and Ole Miss.
In the Second Half
- Kentucky began the second half with the opening lineup.
- Trailing 37-31, a 7-0 run gave UK a 38-37 lead.
- Ole Miss immediately responded with an 8-0 run and its 45-38 lead was its largest of the game.
- A 7-0 UK run tied it at 47.
- With UK trailing 54-53 with five minutes remaining, there were nine consecutive lead changes until Richards made both ends of a 1-and-1 with 1:11 remaining, putting UK up 63-62.
- After Breein Tyree missed a 1-and-1 at 0:57, Ole Miss defense forced a turnover at 29.8 on clock.
- Ole Miss missed a shot, then fouled Quickley with 6.6 seconds. He made both ends of a 1-and-1 to make it 65-62.
- Tyree was fouled with 3.9 seconds left but missed the 1-and-1. Brooks rebounded, was fouled with 1.6 seconds left and made both free throws for a 67-62 win. Ironically, it was UK’s largest lead of the game.
