Cats to Face Penn State at ITA Kick-Off Weekend

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats (3-0) will continue their Spring 2020 season with ITA Kick-Off Weekend on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for an opening-round match versus Penn State (0-1) on Friday at 2 p.m. ET.
 
Last Sunday, the Wildcats took a road trip to South Bend, Indiana, and returned to Lexington with a 5-2 win against Notre Dame. Kentucky freshman Gabriel Diallo clinched the victory with a 7-6(5), 7-6(4) defeat of William Howells in the fourth singles slot. Former Gardner-Webb transfer Millen Hurrion earned the first ranked win of his UK career by defeating No. 102 Axel Nefve 6-3, 1-6, 6-2.
 
The winner of Friday’s opener will face the winner of host Wake Forest and East Tennessee State on Sunday at 5 p.m. The non-winning teams from each match will play Sunday at 2 p.m.
