Kentucky Women’s Tennis Concludes Preseason Schedule
VERO BEACH, Fla. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team concluded its final preseason event of the season, competing against Loyola Marymount and Virginia Tech at the Vero Beach Invite in Fort Myers, Florida, Jan. 10-12.
The preseason tournament was played in a round-robin, hidden-dual format at the Vero Beach Country Club. Kentucky claimed four wins of 13 possible during the weekend tournament. The preseason event came on the heels of Kentucky’s season-opener 5-2 victory at Florida Gulf Coast last Wednesday.

The results from this tournament do not affect team and individual regular-season records, however the scores will affect individual overall tennis records.
Next on the Schedule
The Kentucky women’s tennis team will play host to Northern Kentucky and Kennesaw State on Friday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. All home matches are played at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center and are free to attend. Free parking options include the three small E-lots adjacent to the facility one hour prior to first serve. Spectators may also pay to park in the Sports Center Garage (PS No. 7) on the corner of Complex Drive and Sport Center Drive. The cost of parking is $2 per hour, with a $16 per exit maximum.
