Team Records and Series Notes
- Kentucky is 8-1 and has won six in a row. Georgia Tech is 4-4.
- Kentucky leads the series, 57-15.
- An old rival from the time that Georgia Tech was in the Southeastern Conference (1933-64), this was the first time that the Wildcats had played a regular-season game against the Yellow Jackets since January 2000.
- Next up: Kentucky has a two-game road trip to Las Vegas. The Wildcats play Utah on Wednesday at 11 p.m. ET and it will be televised on ESPN2. On Saturday, UK will take on Ohio State at 5:15 p.m. ET on CBS.

Ashton Hagans led all scorers with 21 points, adding seven rebounds and seven assists.
- It is the third 20-point game of his career, second this season.

- UK won the rebounding by nine boards, 34-25. UK has won the rebounding in six straight games, coinciding with the Cats’ six-game win streak.
- Kentucky posted 18 assists tonight. The Wildcats have given out at least 18 assists in each of the last five games and have recorded 97 assists over the last five games.

In the First Half

The starting lineup consisted of Ashton Hagans, Tyrese Maxey, Immanuel Quickley, EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards, the sixth different lineup of the season.
- Keion Brooks Jr. was the first sub.
- Quickley got the Wildcats on the board quickly with a 3-pointer on the team’s first possession. Hagans followed with a jumper to stake the homesteaders to a 5-0 lead.
- However, the hot-shooting visitors made 10 of their first 16 field goals and took a 26-21 lead.
- Kentucky responded with an 10-0 run – holding Tech scoreless for a 4:47 stretch – to retake a 31-26 advantage.
- All totaled, UK closed the half on a 15-4 run for a 36-30 lead at intermission.
In the Second Half
- Kentucky opened the second half with the original lineup.
- UK scored the first six points of the half, completing a 21-4 run that extended the lead to 42-30.
- Tech rambled back in it with its own 11-2 spurt to pull within 44-41. GT had three chances to tie but missed all three 3-pointers and Quickley’s three quelled the advance.
- During the final 10 minutes of the game, UK closed the contest with a 20-10 run.
