Team Records and Series Notes
- Kentucky is 4-0, while Virginia is 2-2.
- The Wildcats are now 2-0 on the road this season.
- UK is 78-64 on the road under Matthew Mitchell.
- Kentucky is 827-540 all-time, including 233-271 all-time on the road.
- This was the second all-time meeting between Kentucky and Virginia in women’s basketball.
- UK leads the all-time series 2-0 in games played against the Cavaliers.
- The Wildcats defeated Virginia at Rupp Arena last season.
- Matthew Mitchell is in his 13th season as the head coach of the Wildcats.
- Mitchell is 315-154 overall in his career and 285-125 during his tenure at Kentucky.

Team Notes
- Kentucky used the starting combination of sophomore guard Rhyne Howard, senior guards Sabrina Haines and Amanda Paschal, and junior forwards KeKe McKinney and Tatyana Wyatt.
- UK is 4-0 this season when it uses that starting combination.
- The Wildcats lost the tip for the first time this season. Howard won the tip vs. Mount St. Mary’s and Middle Tennessee while Wyatt won the tip vs. Stetson. Wyatt attempted the tip for Kentucky vs. UVA.
- Rhyne Howard scored her first points of the game as time expired in the first quarter, drilling a long 3-pointer from the left wing.
- UK led 15-12 at the end of the first 10 minutes with Sabrina Haines leading UK with eight points.
- The Wildcats went 6-of-15 from the field in the first quarter for 40.1 percent. It was just the third quarter this season that UK has shot 40 percent or better.
- After Kentucky grabbed a 19-14 lead with 8:16 to go in the second quarter, UVA turned up the defense and went on a 9-0 run to take back the lead. Virginia led 23-22 at halftime.
- During UVA’s 9-0 run, which spanned 7:46 of the second quarter, the Wildcats went 1-of-10 from the field and had eight turnovers.
- The UVA run was stopped by a 3-pointer from Tatyana Wyatt with :30 on the second quarter clock.
- UVA outscored UK 11-7 in the second quarter although the Cavaliers went the final 5:30 without a field goal.
- Saturday marked the first time this season UK has trialed at the half.
- It was the second time this season that UK has scored 25 points of less in the first half.
- The Wildcats’ seven points in the second quarter was its fewest in a quarter all season.
- In four first halves this season, UK is shooting just 31 percent from the field (40-of-129), while it is 8-of-38 from 3 for 21 percent.
- Eleven of UVA’s 23 first-half points came from field goals while the Cavs were 12-of-15 from the free-throw line.
- After UVA scored the first bucket of the second half, the Wildcats went on a 10-0 run to take its biggest lead of the game at 32-25 with just under five minutes to go in the third quarter.
- UK was unable to keep the momentum going in the quarter ending the period going just 1-of-5 from the field with five turnovers the reminder of the period.
- The Wildcats finished the win 50-47, marking the first time UK has scored 50 points or fewer in a win since defeating Louisville Dec. 2, 2012. UK scored 48 points in that game.
- UK forced 22 turnovers in the game and have forced 20 turnovers or more in every game this season.
- On the flip side, the Wildcats turned the ball over a season-high 23 times.

- Howard has hit at least one 3-pointer in 31 of her 36 career games.
- Howard has scored 10 or more points in 29 of her 36 career games.
- Howard added 11 rebounds in the game, which was her second double-double this season and eighth of her career.
- Senior guard Sabrina Haines scored 17 points in the game, going 6-of-12 from the field and 2-of-4 from the 3-point line.
