Kentucky Women’s Soccer Travels to Georgia on Thursday Night
ATHENS, Ga. – Kentucky (6-8-2, 1-6-0 Southeastern Conference) travels to Georgia (7-6-2, 3-3-1 SEC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Turner Soccer Complex. This game will be streamed live on SEC Network+ with Jeff Dantzler and Tatum Hodge on the call.
The Wildcats come into this game after winning their first SEC matchup of the year against Missouri on Friday night. Junior midfielder Marissa Bosco’s two goals powered UK to a 2-1 win over the Tigers. Freshman center back Valdis Björg Sigurbjörnsdóttir and freshman forward Hannah Richardson recorded assists in the contest.
Richardson continues to lead the team in scoring with eight goals scored in 15 games played while fellow freshman forward Jordyn Rhodes has five goals and one assist in 16 games played. Senior midfielder Foster Ignoffo leads all active players with two assists this season.
The Bulldogs are coming off of a 1-0 win at Mississippi State on Sunday. They are led by Chloe Chapman with five goals scored in 15 games played while Reagan Glisson has four goals and one assist.
Looking forward, Kentucky hosts Vanderbilt on Sunday at 1 p.m. at The Bell for its final home game of the season. That game will be streamed live on SEC Network+ with Dave Baker and Payton Atkins on the call.
