Kentucky Cross Country Announces 2019 Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky.– Kentucky announced its 2019 cross country schedule today, highlighted by a role as host institution for the Southeastern Conference Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park. 

The SEC Championships will be held on Nov. 1 starting at 9:30 a.m. SEC’s will serve as the lone meet UK competes at in Lexington.

Overall, the Wildcats compete in seven meets this season. UK kicks off its season on Friday in Oxford, Ohio for the Miami Opener at 3:30 p.m. followed by the Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville, Virginia on Sept. 27 at 9:30 a.m.

Kentucky then travels to Louisville for the Greater Louisville Classic on Oct. 5 at 9:30 a.m. with a trip to Terra Haute, Indianapolis a couple of weeks later for NCAA Pre-Nationals at 11 a.m.

The Wildcats then get a crack at hosting their one and only event of the season with the SEC Championships coming to Lexington. UK hosted one event last season, with the women’s team winning the Bluegrass XC Invitational while the men finished in second.

Following the SEC Championships, Kentucky travels back to Charlottesville for the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. 

The season culminates with a Nov. 23 date back in Terra Haute for the NCAA Championships at 10:45 a.m.
