WBB Announces #DriveFor5K as Season Tickets Go On Sale

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The #DriveFor5K is underway as season ticket renewals and new season ticket purchases for the 2019-20 Kentucky women’s basketball season are now available online at UKathletics.com/tickets. This season, the Wildcats are trying to sell 5,000 season tickets and will hold numerous promotional events leading up to the start of the season. 
 
Fans may purchase new season tickets online now at UKathletics.com/tickets or by calling the UK Ticket Office at (800) 928-2287 (Option 1). Season tickets offer considerable savings over the cost of buying single-game tickets. Season ticket prices include admission to all Kentucky women’s basketball home games in Memorial Coliseum and Rupp Arena. The Wildcats’ full schedule will be released soon but will feature its annual rivalry game with Louisville and Southeastern Conference home games vs. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
 
New season ticket purchases are available in upper-level reserved chairbacks (sections AA-JJ), lower-level reserved bench seating (sections R-Z) or general admission bench seating (sections RR-ZZ) for $69 per ticket. Lower-level reserved chairbacks (sections A-J) are sold out again this season.
 
Fans who renew or buy new season tickets by Aug. 9 will receive several fun incentives, including two complimentary tickets to the Kentucky football home opener vs. Toledo, free entry into the Go Big Blue 4 Miler presented by Kroger on Aug. 17 (one entry per season ticket) and will be entered into the season ticket surprise drawings which will include other prizes. 
 
Kentucky women’s basketball season ticket holders enjoy the following benefits:

  • Priority seating for games held at Rupp Arena, based upon K Fund priority ranking
  • Priority access to postseason tickets
  • Five (5) K Fund priority points with purchase of two or more season tickets
  • Complimentary ticket offers to select UK Athletics events
  • Opportunity to renew and upgrade your seat location each season, based on availability

2019-20 season tickets SabrinaSeason ticket renewal invoices are also now available online at UKathletics.com/renew. Each season, season ticket holders are able to request a seat upgrade upon renewing their season tickets. Seat upgrades are filled in K Fund priority rank order, based upon availability. To request an upgrade, fill out the upgrade request section through your online renewal invoice or write the request on the hard-copy season ticket invoice, which will be mailed in late July. Upgrade requests will be reviewed after the season ticket renewal deadline.
 
In addition to season tickets, all-session books to the 2020 SEC women’s basketball tournament are now on sale within Kentucky’s allotment at $120 each. This year’s event will take place at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC from March 4-8. Seat locations will be assigned in K Fund priority rank order in January 2020.
 
The Victory Club, the official booster program of Kentucky women’s basketball, is also currently accepting new members. Victory Club members support the women’s basketball program through game attendance, community visibility and financial contributions. UK Athletics will continue to offer mobile tickets for all Kentucky women’s basketball general admission season tickets. Instead of receiving printed tickets, general admission season ticket holders will be able to access their tickets electronically through My UK Account or the UK Athletics app. Fans with reserved season tickets will still have the option to receive printed ticket books or mobile tickets. The Wildcats are looking to keep their winning ways going this season after a strong 2018-19 campaign that saw 25 wins and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. UK started the year with wins over South Florida, North Carolina and UCLA en route to the 2019 Paradise Jam Island Division championship before winning 11 league games to finish fourth in the league.
 
Head coach Matthew Mitchell, who was named the Co-SEC Coach of the Year last season, returns a lengthy list of players for this upcoming season, including the reigning unanimous national freshman of the year in Rhyne Howard. In total, the Wildcats are set to return 63 percent of its scoring, 62 percent of its made 3-point field goals, 87 percent of its offensive rebounding, 81 percent of its total rebounding, 60 percent of its assists, 77 percent of its blocks and 58 percent of its steals.
 
UK will also add incoming true freshman Emma King (Stanford, Ky.) and Deasia Merrill (Villa Rica, Ga.) along with transfers Sabrina Haines, Nae Nae Cole and Chasity Patterson. Dre Edwards, a transfer from Utah who was the 2019 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, joined the Wildcats this spring but will have to sit out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
