LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky baseball team will put the finishing touches on a two-week, eight-game road trip with it travels to No. 10 Ole Miss for a three-game Southeastern Conference series beginning Friday night at Swayze Field in Oxford.

First pitch on Friday is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with Saturday an 8 p.m. start and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Saturday night’s game will be aired nationally by the SEC Network with Friday and Sunday’s game on SEC Network+. Darren Headrick will have the radio call on 630 AM WLAP in Lexington and on the UK Sports Network.

The Wildcats (18-15, 2-10) are seeking to build momentum as they hit the midway point of conference play and before returning to Kentucky Proud Park next week for a rivalry game with Louisville and three-game series against Tennessee. The Cats currently are 5-9 on the road and are coming off a 6-2 win at Lipscomb on Wednesday night in Nashville.

Sophomore right-hander Jimmy Ramsey is set to start on Friday night with newly-minted Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List honoree Zack Thompson to get the ball on Saturday night. Sunday’s starter is listed as TBA. Ole Miss will counter with righty Will Ethridge on Friday, freshman lefty Doug Nikhazy on Saturday and will also go TBA in the series finale.

The two clubs did not pay last season and UK won the series, 2-1, in Lexington in 2017. In that series, current UK designated hitter T.J. Collett recorded his first collegiate hit, a pinch hit grand slam in the opener. Collett, senior catcher Marshall Gei and junior infielder Zeke Lewis are the only remaining Cats on the roster who saw action in that series.
