Nazr Mohammed Joins Mitch Barnhart Podcast

Basketball has taken Nazr Mohammed – the latest guest on the Mitch Barnhart Podcast – on quite a ride.
 
Growing up in Chicago, Mohammed tipped the scales at over 300 pounds when he surprised his family and even some of his future teammates by committing to Kentucky. Fully embracing the challenge to get in shape, Mohammed dropped the weight and became a first-team All-SEC performer, winning two national championships along the way.
 
He left after his junior season and was a first-round NBA Draft pick. Playing for eight teams, Mohammed’s career lasted for 18 years and included a world championship with the San Antonio Spurs. Now, Mohammed works in the front office for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
 
Mohammed joined Mitch Barnhart to talk about that journey and the principles of hard work and being a good teammate that he has carried through its entirety.
