Bench-Back Seating to Be Added in North Upper Level

by Guy Ramsey

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Bench-back seating is set to be installed in the North upper level at Kroger Field, creating more comfortable accommodations for fans in the area for the 2018 Kentucky football season.

Soon after the Blue-White Spring Game on April 13, a project will begin to install blue bench-back seating in the upper North seating areas of Kroger Field. Seats in Sections 204-208 will have bench backs added through the project, which will also include the installation of new benches. The project will be completed before the start of the 2018 season and will not affect existing bench-back seating in Rows 2-8, which will remain in place.

UK Athletics continues to progress toward its goal of installing bench-back or chair-back seating throughout Kroger Field. Through the renovation of the stadium completed in 2015, bench-back or chair-back seating was installed along both sidelines in the lower level. Before the 2016 season, the remainder of seats in the lower level was outfitted with bench backs, with the exception of the student section in the East end zone. Prior to the 2017 season, bench-back seating was added to the remainder of the South upper-level. UK Athletics has made these investments in response to fan feedback about seat comfort at Kroger Field.

Season and single-game ticket prices in the North upper level will not change due to the installation of bench-back seating. The majority of season-ticket seats in this area are available for $310 apiece with no corresponding K Fund donation attached.

Season tickets are available at UKFootballTix.com for $310 apiece with corresponding K Fund donations attached. Fans are able to use the Kentucky Football Virtual Venue to view and compare available seat locations and see a 360-degree virtual view from the seats inside Kroger Field. Payment plans will be available for new purchases and renewals.

Public season-ticket packages in Sections 201-203 and 209-211 are $240 apiece. Fans can view a seating chart with the various pricing levels here. The Kentucky Football Pocket Pass will also return for the 2018 season, which includes a mobile ticket to all seven home games for a discounted price of $205 while supplies last.

The Wildcats will open the 2018 season by hosting Central Michigan on Sept. 1.
