UKTF Has Six Event Winners Saturday at UCF Black & Gold

ORLANDO, Fla. – Kentucky track and field Wildcats won three events and had three more “top collegian” finishes to conclude this weekend’s outdoor-season-opening UCF Black and Gold Challenge.

Kianna Gray won the women’s 200m in 23.39 and was second overall, but top collegian, in the 100m in 11.81 (-3.2).
 
Jacklyn Howell won the 100m hurdles in 13.41 (-0.6).

Fred Dorsey III won the long jump with a mark of 23’8.75″/7.23m (-2.5).

Kentucky alumnus (Class of 2017) Nick Anderson won the 110m hurdles in 13.84 (-0.2). Daniel Roberts was second in that race running 13.87.
 
Jelani Walker was second overall, but top collegian, in the 200m running 21.00w (+2.1) and was second in the 100m in 10.49 (-0.2).
 
Nicole Fautsch was second in the shot put with a mark of 49’8.5″/15.15m.
 
Noah Castle placed second in the shot put with a mark of 179’9″/54.79m.
 
Friday report
Marie-Josée Ebwea-Bile locked up the school records in the triple jump on Friday.

The meet will conclude on Saturday.

David Cline tossed a hammer throw mark that moved him into No. 2 position on the all-time UK performers’ list winning his first competition of the season on Friday.

Benjamin Young was also an event winner on Friday.
