No. 6 Kentucky Welcomes Ole Miss for Senior Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 6 Kentucky (23-3, 14-1 SEC) volleyball team will face Ole Miss (16-13, 7-9 SEC) in Memorial Coliseum on Sunday to wrap up home regular season play. First serve is set for 2 p.m., and will be shown live on SEC Network with Missy Whittemore and Tiffany Greene on the call.
 
Kentucky swept Georgia on Friday night at home. Freshman Avery Skinner had a match-high 13 kills in the win, while UK hit .387 as a team. Sophomore Leah Edmond recorded 12 kills, while senior Kaz Brown had 10. Senior Ashley Dusek posted her third-straight match with 20 or more digs after a match-high 20.
 
UK will honor its five seniors – Kaz Brown, Ashley Dusek, Emily Franklin, Harper Hempel and Darian Mack – before the match. The senior class has appeared in three consecutive NCAA Tournaments and won 94 matches over the past four seasons. Tickets for senior day can be purchased here.
 
Brown is a back-to-back AVCA All-Southeastern Region award winner and appeared on the All-SEC team in 2015 and 2016. Brown holds every 25-point rally scoring blocking record, and is fifth in kills with 932. Brown holds the top two single season total block records after putting up 180 in 2015 and 151 in 2016.
 
Dusek is a two time AVCA All-America Honorable mention award winner, and won the SEC Libero of the Year for the past two seasons. The East Bernard, Texas native appeared on the All-SEC team for the past two years, and has won an SEC weekly award nine times. Dusek is currently third all-time in the rally scoring era in digs with 1,456.
 
Franklin has racked up 652 kills in her career and 372 total blocks. She’s currently third in the 25-point rally scoring era for total blocks, and ninth in solo stuffs. Franklin’s 907 points is 10th in the all-time rally scoring era. Her 122 blocks in 2016 is the ninth best single season output in the rally scoring era. This season, Franklin is hitting an impressive .422 with 186 kills.
 
Hempel has appeared in 42 matches over the past three seasons. She’s recorded an ace in each season, and served the match winner in the five-set thriller at LSU. Last year, as the setter, she recorded 45 assists in a match early in the season. She’s posted 36 digs in her career and 49 blocks.
 
Mack has 787 total kills in her career, the ninth most in the 25-point rally scoring era. She’s taken 2,087 swings over the last four years, also the ninth-most in school history. Mack had a season-high 13 kills in Kentucky’s historic win over No. 1 Florida earlier this season, and her career best is 20 kills, which she hit in 2016. Mack has 34 matches with 10 or more kills, and has recorded six double-doubles in her career.
 
Kentucky will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Arkansas. First serve is set for 8 p.m.
 
Match Day Information
Doors will open one hour prior to first serve. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and travel light for quicker entry.
 
Season and single-game volleyball tickets are now barcoded and scanned for validity at each entrance. By barcoding tickets, fans will have access to more ticket management features
 
Bags entering Memorial Coliseum may not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. All bags are subject to visual inspection upon entry. An exception will be made for medically necessary items, after proper inspection. Please note, backpacks are not permitted inside Memorial Coliseum, regardless of size.

Parking Information
All E-lots surrounding Memorial Coliseum including the North Craft, High Street, Rose Street, and Linden Walk employee lots are available for event parking beginning three hours prior to first serve. Additionally, the South Limestone Garage (PS#5) and the Rose Street Garage (PS#2) are available two hours prior to first serve.
 
A shuttle is available free of charge from the South Limestone Garage (Parking Structure #5). The pick-up/drop-off point at the South Limestone Garage is located on Administration Drive. We ask that all patrons access this pick-up/drop-off location by the sky bridge, accessible from level three of the parking structure. The shuttle pick-up/drop-off location at Memorial Coliseum is located at the front of the Coliseum on Avenue of Champions.
 
Shuttle services begin 2 hours pre-match and will continue 20 minutes after the first serve and will resume post-match for 1 hour. 
 
Disabled parking is available in the North Craft lot. Spaces are limited and provided on a first come, first served basis with a valid, state-issued disabled parking hangtag.
