Mollie Korth Earns Fourth SEC Freshman of the Week Award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Freshman Mollie Korth earned her fourth Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week award for her performance against Missouri, the league announced on Tuesday.
Korth posted a 39.525 in the Wildcats’ meet against Mizzou, and won her sixth all-around title in the meet, her third over an SEC opponent. She also won all-around crowns in the meets against Alabama and Auburn, and has posted an all-around score of 39.500 or higher three times this year.
Korth earned the individual title on bars with a 9.925, tying her career-high she has hit two other times this season. Korth put up a 9.9 on the floor, a 9.875 on the vault and a 9.825 on beam during the meet at Missouri.
The freshman now has 18 titles this season. Korth has six all-around and bars titles, and three vault and floor crowns.
Kentucky will be back in action on Saturday when the Wildcats compete in the SEC Championships in Jacksonville, Florida. UK is the No. 5 seed in the event and will compete in the first session of the day, beginning at 2 p.m.
