LEXINGTON, Ky. – A two-time all-state selection and one of the top-rated junior players in the country, Zach Norris has inked a National Letter of Intent to join the Kentucky men’s golf program in the Fall of 2017.
Norris hails from McKee, Kentucky and is a star performer for Jackson County High School.
“I am super excited to announce that Zach Norris has officially joined our Kentucky golf family,” head coach Brian Craig said. “What a proven talent and an outstanding young man who has joined the Big Blue Nation. Can you imagine becoming one of the very best senior golfers in the entire country and not even having a golf course in your county? That feat speaks volumes about Zach’s character and desire. He is also a terrific student and comes from a wonderful family. I can’t wait to coach Zach and watch him develop into an elite level SEC player.”
Norris is among the top-performing junior golfers in the nation. He has garnered 11 top-10 finishes on the American Junior Golf Association tour. Those achievements include five top five individual finishes. Furthermore, Norris advanced to the 2014 US Open sectional qualifying as a freshman in high school.
He is a two-time all-state performer in the state of Kentucky, with his highlight round coming in the form of a 64 at the Madison Central Invitational.
