Kentucky Adds Mollie Korth

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2017 Kentucky Gymnastics class is now
complete, as the squad added Mollie Korth to round out the roster.

“Mollie is a really talented young lady,” head coach Tim
Garrison said. “We are excited to add her talent to the team, which has shown
to be a strong team as of right now anyway. She brings a great energy to the
gym. When she walks into the gym you know she’s there.”

Korth joins the squad from Cambridge, Wisconsin, where she
competed for the Madtown Twisters Gymnastics Club based out of Madison,
Wisconsin. Korth, a level 10 gymnast, was the 2016 Wisconsin State Champion in
vault, bars, beam and floor as well as the all-around state champion. She was
also the 2016 national floor champion and picked up two silver medals in
national competition in vault and all-around.

“Mollie is an amazing vaulter. She has a 10.0 start-value
vault that she’s comfortable and confident with,” Garrison said. “She’s a good
bar swinger and we’re looking forward to adding her in there. On the floor she’s
an outstanding performer. She’s extremely powerful and has huge tumbling
abilities. We are looking forward to having her.”

Kentucky will begin the 2017 campaign with the Blue/White
meet on Dec. 10. The regular season will start at Eastern Michigan on Friday,
Jan. 6 at 8 p.m.
